Personal life

I ride and race a road bike, and take a gravel bike out when the pavement runs out. I also have a cat! Her name is Bubbles, she is just over three, and she flew over from China with me.

I mostly go looking for climbs. Here are a few to try if you are riding around Irvine. PCH is still the prettiest though, on the days the drivers are nice.

• Silverado gentle A gentle twenty minute climb, and a really nice one.
• Bulk Gully gravel My favourite gravel trail. People say it is an easy one tho. I have the QOM for now anyways lol
• Newport Coast 6% A steady 6 percent.
• Top of the World climb The Laguna classic. Best view of the coast around here. You can also get up there on gravel.
• Vista Ridge steep Tack it on after Newport Coast. Short, a bit steep.
• Seven Sisters hard but good Seven climbs back to back, almost no recovery in between.

There are plenty of group rides around OC too.
